ST VINCENT DE PAUL CHRISTMAS HAMPER APPEAL

Each year at OLC we take time to be thankful for all that we have and to assist those in need.

 We are asking all families in the school to give as generously as possible.

 This year the Year 4/5/6 student families are being asked to donate toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lip balm, sunscreen, soap etc.

 If each family could give at least 2 items it would go a long way to helping those families in need.

 I will place a box in Year 6 for your donations, if you can please make sure that you have them in by Monday 5th December.

Our swimming carnival is this Thursday 23rd of February at the Geographe Leisure Centre.  As always it looks like it is going to be a fabulous, fun filled day. Coming home today are permission slips and a note detailing what to expect on Thursday. Students have placed these in their bags and I have enclosed attached them below for reference. Week 8 Term 2

Good afternoon parents, I can not begin to explain how proud I was of all the students yesterday at the First Eucharist mass. They acted with great reverence and respect, participating so well in every part of the mass.  A tear did well in my eye when I saw the students reciting the prayers and completing the actions at the appropriate times. We thank you for the support and guidance you have given throughout the preparation of the sacrament. All of the students have taken home today their poster, banner, prayer card and cross as little mementos for you to keep and reflect on in time to come. Congratulations to Lucas, Taylah and Gabriel on receiving a Merit award at Friday's assembly, they are working hard to achieve their best . Mother's Day Assembly

Good afternoon This Friday is our prayer assembly and it is also Mother's day this weekend.  So I have decided to combine the two events and we will have a Mother's Day Themed Prayer Assembly. All students have readings, which we have been practicing for a few days now.  They also took photos of their readings on their Ipads today so they can access them to practice.  Please support your child by practicing their lines with them. It promises to be an exciting day that will get us thinking about our mothers.  It would be wonderful if you were able to join us, so we will hopefully see you Friday. Mr McSevich
