This video shows a nine times tables strategy that we were shown in class today by one of the students.  It was made into a video so that we can watch it to remind us of the strategy!

Welcome to 6R for 2020!

Good morning, Welcome to Year 6!  I hope you all had a relaxing holiday enjoying the summer weather and making precious family memories. Whilst it has gone quickly, I am happy to be getting back into it and setting some routines to keep me on the straight and narrow.  Words fail to express how lucky and privileged both Alison and I feel to be having this group of students again before they leave OLC. Since having them in 2018, I have seen some amazing maturity and growth take place (I thank Mr D and you wonderful parents for that). For this reason, I expect big things from them all, as I know they are incredible little humans and have such great potential as the leaders of the school. Each student will need to take on greater roles and responsibilities this year in preparation for high school, enabling a smooth transition. Week 3 Update

Good evening parents, Where did that weekend go...and out of nowhere we are into week 3 of term 1. It's madness I say!! REMINDERS - WEEK 3 Parent Information Evening  - is on Tuesday 19th February beginning at 6.30pm in the Hall before moving over to our class (Year 4R) for a whole class session at 7pm...we expect that you will be at home on the couch with a cup of tea by 8pm! If you are unable to attend this meeting, we understand...please send us an email to let us know and we will send home the relevant information with your child on Wednesday. Swimming Trials   - The Year 4's will be leaving school at 9am to attend our swimming trials at the GLC in Busselton on Tuesday 19th February. We ask that your child wears their bathers to school underneath their sports uniform to make life easier for them. They can wear thongs to school but they must bring their sneakers to put on after they return to school. They will need: Swimming bag - preferably a sma...

Week 4 Term 2

Good afternoon parents, I hope you had a fun filled weekend. Thank you to those who were able to attend the Mass on Saturday night, it was lovely to see the church filled with such reverence.  Congratulations to Cielo who received the merit certificate for last week, her commitment and focus is soaring, being an outstanding role model for others to follow. Our second group of pen licenses went out on Thursday. We congratulate Imogen, Rose, Lily, Rhavi, Jaz, Skyla, Georgia, Priya, Holly and Cielo. It is such a pleasure to see that the children are being mature with this new responsibility and taking great pride in their work. I am looking forward to presenting more on Thursday as there a couple of children I have spoken to and I can see they are trying hard.  Have you had your child show you their OneNote as yet?
