Mission Market Day Change

Image
Good morning all, As you know on Wednesday 15th August we have the Mission Market Day. Each class is to run a stall to raise money for the Catholic Missions and our stall is jelly cups. In the previous blog post I asked for you to donate the jelly sachet and plastic cups, however a suggestion was made for the jelly to be made at home and brought in on that Wednesday morning to be sold at the stall. So now I am asking if you could donate already made jelly cups (as many as a sachet makes) and brought into school on the Wednesday morning. It is up to you and your child if you want to decorate your jelly with any toppings. If you aren't able to make the jelly and bring it in on the Wednesday morning, I am happy to make it myself on the Monday beforehand. I thank you for your assistance with this. Mrs Ricciardone

Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  EXCITING NEWS! Today we have Alicia, a new student, joining us from Alicante in Spain. She and her sister Laura (Year 6) will be immersing themselves in the Australian/Dunsborough lifestyle. The girls are cousins to Gabriela and Olivia McGinley and they can't wait to learn more about our school and way of living. It will also be a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn more about the Spanish culture.  Congratulations to  Jye Edmonds and Annabelle Phillips  on receiving a Merit Certificate at Friday's Assembly. Both students have made significant progress in their learning and I couldn't be prouder! LEARNING IN CLASS: SCIENCE For the last two weeks we have been learning about soil: why it is important, how it is formed, the different types and the soil profile. On Thursday we carried out an experiment to test which soil type best retains water. It was a lot of fun and reaffirmed what we had learnt the previ

NAIDOC Week Presentation

Good afternoon everyone, On the last day of Term 2, we had a special NAIDOC presentation where the whole school presented to each other what they had been learning in class about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. I know there were some parents who were curious about it and interested in seeing it. So I taped it and have posted on the blog. We were so proud of the way our students presented their information, so confident in their speaking. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6rsA7-wqcq4 I will be deleting this link from my Youtube account in a week for privacy reasons. You won't be able to view this video after this time. We hope you enjoy. Sandy & Adrian
