Good morning everyone,  I hope you had a chance to rest and recoup in the gorgeous sunshine this weekend. I was a very proud mumma this weekend and got the chance to cheer on my little man playing Auskick at Optus Stadium. It's a shame the Docker's didn't follow it up with a win! Congratulations to  Alicia and Savannah  on receiving a Merit Award at Friday's Assembly, it is such a pleasure to watch you both blossom in our classroom. FAREWELL... Friday will be Alicia's last day in our classroom. She has fit seamlessly into the classroom,  forming strong friendships and being so eager to learn. We have loved having her in our class and learning a little more about Spain and her way of life in Alicante. We will miss her when she leaves. LEARNING IN CLASS: There is a lot of work on display at the moment, as we have been so busy this term. Please feel free to pop in and have a look at the work the students have produced. Keeping Safe: Children's Rights Poster Good evening, I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the glimpse of sunshine that we got yesterday! I was lucky enough to enjoy two perfect days in Perth amongst the sunshine. It has been a busy couple of weeks, as new learning is taking place! Congratulations to  Toby and Jack  on receiving a Merit Certificate at Friday's Assembly. It is such a delight to see their hunger for learning grow, acting as great role models for the other students LEARNING IN CLASS: SCIENCE We have been little Geologist recently, learning about an array of soil and rock types. It has been a delight to see the children become so involved in this topic, that they have chosen to bring in their treasures, creating  a mini museum within the class. Operation Christmas Child Initiative

Dear Parents, Over the coming weeks, the students in Year 4 are going to participate in an initiative called 'Operation Christmas Child' which aims to pack a shoebox to give to a child who has never received a gift before. This ties into our school value of Compassion as we are helping less fortunate children in need. The students in Years 3-6 will collaborate on collecting their donation items and we will come together as a mixed group to put the boxes together.  The following classes are responsible for the items listed below: Year 3M - Something to wear Year 3D - A personal hygiene item Year 4 - Something to draw with Year 5 - Something to play with  Year 6 - Something to love. In the coming days your child will be bringing home a note which indicates if they are bringing in an item for a boy or girl and what age. All students are asked to bring in $2.50 to help pay for postage. It would be great if your child could perhaps use their own pocket money to purchase th
