Good morning, Welcome to Year 6! I hope you all had a relaxing holiday enjoying the summer weather and making precious family memories. Whilst it has gone quickly, I am happy to be getting back into it and setting some routines to keep me on the straight and narrow. Words fail to express how lucky and privileged both Alison and I feel to be having this group of students again before they leave OLC. Since having them in 2018, I have seen some amazing maturity and growth take place (I thank Mr D and you wonderful parents for that). For this reason, I expect big things from them all, as I know they are incredible little humans and have such great potential as the leaders of the school. Each student will need to take on greater roles and responsibilities this year in preparation for high school, enabling a smooth transition. As well as greater academic responsibilities, they will also be apart of a Ministry team that carries out different roles weekly. Here are...

Good afternoon parents, Welcome to another amazing week here in 4R. I hope that you stayed cool in the heat of Saturday...I was lucky enough to enjoy a delicious high tea for an important charity and then spend time chilling by the pool. It was a little devastating when I soon realised it was time to start reports! We had a fantastic excursion to Eagle Heritage last Thursday and another huge thank you to Fiona, Michelle, Mike and John for coming along to keep us safe and make sure that no birds of prey carried anyone off! The students will be using this information that they gathered to begin planning for the bird of prey information report that we will be starting next week! Our day was then finished off superbly with an artist workshop conducted by Alan Meyburgh...after a slight change to plan he came up to school and we had a great time working in the hall on creating a sculpture of a bird using a variety of recycled materials.
