First Day...

Good evening parents,

Firstly, we just wanted to thank you for your amazing organisation and assistance this morning. The students came in so excited and happy to see one another and start their day with us.

It was also a pleasure meeting so many parents this morning. If you didn't get a chance this morning, I look forward to meeting you in the future.

We had such a positive day today, learning about each other as well as myself and Alison. A main focus of today was to really look at working as a team and the ways we are going to make our little family at '4R' be as positive and safe as possible for all.

So for a little fun at the start of the day, we carried out some team games that generated the talk around our classroom rules.

Here are some pictures from the games:

HOMEWORK:
This week the students have:
1. Reading - Students are to read for 10 minutes each night and enter it into their Reading Log (there will be no readers handed out this week, we ask that the students read a book from home).

2. Timetables practise - we are focusing on our 4 timestables this week and the students are to practise at least 5 times throughout the week at home. We are hoping that you are able to quiz them as often as possible to ensure their recall of their timestable facts is accurate and efficient. Please sign their Homework log when you have done this.

3. Letter to teacher - the students have a letter template they need to complete by Friday 8th February.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Whole School Mass
On Friday 8th February at 9am, there will be a whole school mass at Our Lady of the Southern Cross. We will be walking to church that morning, so it is imperative that your child arrives before 8.30am. If you arrive after this time, you will need to drop them off at the church.

Please email or see us if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, we will be more than happy to help. Enjoy the rest of the week.
