Mission Markets

Dear Parents,

Re:  Mission Markets – Week 4


On Friday 12th August, we will be holding our Annual Mission Markets beginning at 11.45am. The Year 4 stall item this year is Jelly Cups!

To help raise valuable funds for Caritas Australia, we are asking that all Year 4 families provide 5 Jelly Cups each for sale at our stall.  You can make these Jelly Cups in any combination that you would like.  In the past I have seen lolly snakes or frogs added and even multi-coloured Jelly Cups. Feel free to be as creative as you like, but please no nuts!

Please also include a small packet of spoons to accompany the Jelly Cups.  This makes eating the Jelly much easier and less messy!

When arriving at school on the morning of 12th August, please take the Jelly Cups to the canteen to be placed in the fridge.  Any parental assistance to place the jelly cups in the fridge would be greatly appreciated.

Good evening, What a well-timed long weekend! It was a a great chance to rest and recoup, with lots of fun things to do in the most beautiful place with the most beautiful weather! Sally the Sloth

Good afternoon parents, I hope you are well and the week is flying by, getting us a closer to the weekend ahead! I am writing to you to clarify the recent news the children received about Sally the Sloth in class, as I know there has been a lot of excitement around this.  As part of the Talk4Write PD I completed before school started this term, I was taught a new concept of when introducing a new writing genre, try to create a 'hook' to get the students really excited, engaged and wanting to learn more about the subject. At the start of this Term we are focusing on Persuasive writing, therefore the 'hook' I created was that Sally the sloth is apart of a breeding program at the Perth Zoo and I had made an application to have the chance to babysit Sally for a week. Week 8 Term 2

Good afternoon parents, I can not begin to explain how proud I was of all the students yesterday at the First Eucharist mass. They acted with great reverence and respect, participating so well in every part of the mass.  A tear did well in my eye when I saw the students reciting the prayers and completing the actions at the appropriate times. We thank you for the support and guidance you have given throughout the preparation of the sacrament. All of the students have taken home today their poster, banner, prayer card and cross as little mementos for you to keep and reflect on in time to come. Congratulations to Lucas, Taylah and Gabriel on receiving a Merit award at Friday's assembly, they are working hard to achieve their best .
